Colin Trevorrow spoke to Empire about his plans for a currently untitled Atlantis movie he hopes to direct after the release of Jurassic World: Dominion.

For a generation that is now able to enter a world no different from theirs – where their elders have, in effect, gifted them a civilization that is dying – I think now is the right time for that story.

It’s the only thing that equates to dinosaurs to me. I think I tend to go back to the past. But you know, it was the first time we had technology. And it’s at a time when we had other kinds of creatures that are no more. There are so many things that fascinate me. So yeah, I’m a nerd for it.
